Project Surveyor (Main Contractor) | Permanent | London

Overview

In this role you will manage two newly awarded build projects from a central office hub, splitting time between site visits and office coordination. You’ll drive project delivery autonomously across social housing and a hospice, ensuring effective commercial and contractual execution under JCT terms. You’ll work with multiple stakeholders to keep projects on track, scale your impact across London sites, and contribute to a long-standing contractor’s success. This opportunity offers exposure to high-profile sectors and complex, multi-site delivery with a clear impact on residents and healthcare infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee two concurrent projects from start to finish
• Coordinate between Central London office and North/South London sites
• Apply JCT contract framework to project delivery
• Maintain project milestones, budgets, and commercial performance
• Engage with site teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution
• Travel between sites and office as required

Key requirements

• Degree qualification preferred or equivalent experience (ideal)
• Proven track record with a reputable main contractor
• Experience on new build social housing/residential projects
• Additional exposure to education, healthcare, or commercial sectors preferred
• Ability to manage more than one project autonomously
• Strong commercial awareness
• Willingness to commute to Central London and travel to sites in London
