Professional Support Lawyer (Building Safety Act) in Birmingham

Overview

As a Professional Support Lawyer, you will coordinate knowledge sharing across Real Estate Dispute Resolution, Construction and Regulatory teams to support Building Safety Act related work. You will keep teams updated on developments, produce insightful pieces, and help deliver services while covering related Real Estate disputes such as Telecoms. You will deepen understanding of construction defects as they relate to recovery actions, create case precedents, and leverage generative AI to enhance practice. This role requires collaboration across units and sensitive workload management to add value for clients and the firm.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate information sharing across Real Estate Dispute Resolution, Construction and Regulatory teams
• Keep teams updated on industry developments and regulatory changes
• Produce Insight pieces for clients and internal use
• Support delivery of services across the three units
• Cover Telecoms work within Real Estate Dispute Resolution by monitoring developments and communicating capabilities
• Enhance understanding of technical defects in construction and their impact on recovery actions
• Create case precedents to support future matters
• Utilise generative AI solutions to improve efficiency and output
• Manage workloads with cross-team collaboration across multiple units

• Ability to manage information sharing and produce high-quality insight pieces
• Strong organisational skills and ability to stay updated on industry developments
