Public Sector – System Admin/Kubernetes Engineer

Overview

In this role you will support and implement scalable, automated Big Data solutions on site for public sector clients. You join a Hybrid Cloud Delivery team to drive data engineering opportunities and technical excellence. You will lead or contribute to small to medium technical projects, translating requirements into design and ensuring secure, reliable deployments. This role offers hands-on impact, close collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a path to grow within a mission-driven organization.

Responsibilities

• Implement parts or all of the technical solution per a defined design for the client
• Provide detailed technical designs for enterprise solutions when required
• Understand broad technology to meet customer requirements in multi-system environments
• Lead small to medium technical projects
• Collaborate with Project/Technical Manager and customer representatives
• Liaise with Solutions Architect as appropriate
• Provide technical support and input on technology applications to business segments
• Advise on solution and integration opportunities for defined segments
• Provide technical leadership on integration activities within an engagement
• Contribute to solution architectures planning for multi-system environments
• Communicate values and add client-facing value across the client community
• Document project learnings and contribute to knowledge tools
• Promote knowledge sharing within practice and professional communities
• Support pre-sales activities and collaborate with sales/principals on proposals

Key requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience with an appropriate degree (or 8+ years without a degree)
• Experience supporting Kubernetes solutions that automate deployment, scaling and management of containerized apps
• Experience working in UK Public Sector
• Experience dealing with highly secure solutions and networks
• Ability to design deliverables across a field of expertise and lead delivery
• Experience leading small teams
• Strong communication and ability to present complex issues confidently
• Experience translating requirements into design, statements of work, and proposals
• Ability to work with teams to respond to technical proposals and deliver documentation
• Must hold National Security Clearance Level 04 Developed Vetting (DV) – UK
• Based on client site; no remote or hybrid work
