Overview

In this role you will lead the Core Banking Product Marketing discipline, shaping strategy for a large cross-functional collective to strengthen product-market fit. You’ll steer key product initiatives, define winning go-to-market approaches, and empower teams to deliver disruptive banking products. You will partner with Research, Product, Designers, Engineers and Marketing to ensure a clear, compelling proposition. Responsibilities

  • Shape and lead the strategy for the Core Banking Collective (~150 people) and coach a small team of product marketers
  • Strengthen product-market fit across core products and guide experimental bets in new verticals
  • Collaborate with Research to identify target segments and needs, and translate insights into a productive strategy
  • Define what it takes to win and translate it into a clear product roadmap with Product Management
  • Position products clearly against competitors and articulate Monzo’s unique value
  • Decide go-to-market timing and mechanics for launches balancing business needs with customer resonance
  • Partner with Marketing to provide tools and content for disruptive product marketing
  • Raise the discipline by setting high quality standards, processes, and new best practices

Key requirements

  • Experience leading people in a product marketing or related role (player/coach)
  • Strong track record using data and insights to shape roadmaps
  • Experience collaborating with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers and User Researchers
  • Strategic, curious and able to build consensus on complex questions
  • Ability to set strategy and rally teams around it
  • Comfort working in technical environments and with cross-functional teams
