Cost Engineer – Energy & Utilities

Overview

In this role you will drive robust cost management within PMO or delivery teams, delivering accurate cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting. You’ll coordinate with scheduling, commercial, construction and finance colleagues to ensure budget integrity and earned value analysis. You will build strong client and partner relationships while applying contract and cost management best practices. Based in the UK with ad hoc travel, you will help strengthen client confidence and support the project controls function.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting
• Support full budget, scope, change control and earned value analysis
• Coordinate with scheduling, commercial, construction and finance teams
• Assure monthly cost data and variance analysis
• Drive forecast and budget accuracy
• Produce clear cost reports
• Apply strong cost and contract management
• Build effective client and partner relationships

Key requirements

• Professional qualification through a recognised body (e.g. APM, AACE, A Cost E etc)
• Proven experience in project management or project controls in construction or consultancy
• Experience in a regulated infrastructure sector
