Overview
You join Deloitte’s Jersey Tax team to advise on local and international tax matters for a diverse client base, ranging from private businesses to entities with global footprints. You will develop client relationships, lead tax compliance and advisory work, and mentor junior staff within a collaborative culture. The role blends technical tax expertise with business development and cross‑border perspectives, offering strong progression and on‑the‑job development. You’ll work closely with Partners and Directors to deliver impactful client services in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities
- Develop and manage UK and international client relationships; cultivate new ones
- Help local organisations (funds, trust companies, banks) meet local and international tax requirements
- Oversee client billing, cash collection and profitability
- Continuously learn and broaden tax knowledge
- Lead a diverse team and foster an inclusive culture
- Support senior colleagues in communication, marketing and delivery of advisory services
- Develop the technical and operational skills of junior team members
Key requirements
- Experience in a practice firm
- ICAEW or CTA qualifications, or equivalent
- Strong written and oral communication
- Ability to plan, prioritise, meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Strong client engagement experience
- Ownership mindset and initiative to resolve problems
- Good judgement and commercial awareness
- Ability to adapt to changing external environment and respond to clients accordingly
