Market Data Analyst

Overview

ISS STOXX LiquidMetrix is seeking a Market Data Analyst in London to help expand and govern cross-asset data feeds for Venue Analytics, TCA, and Trade Surveillance. You will collaborate with Product Data and Development teams to deliver proofs of concept that guide roadmaps and enrich client offerings for banks, brokers, asset managers and exchanges. Expect ownership of venue onboarding, reference data maintenance, and data analytics across asset classes in a fast-paced setting. This is a chance to shape data strategy and product capabilities at a leading financial data provider.

Responsibilities

• Market Data Expansion: onboard new market venues across Fixed Income, Derivatives, Equities/ETFs, FX and Crypto; maintain and enrich cross-asset reference data; enhance data QA procedures; support data delivery and processing issues.
• Feed Management: coordinate with vendor networks for feed changes and implementation plans; research market microstructure changes and model potential business benefits; perform data analyses and generate insightful reporting; maintain clear stakeholder communications.
• Analytics & Support: develop deeper analytics across asset classes and TCA approaches; respond to client requests for new market coverage; collaborate with cross-functional teams including upper management.

Key requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience
• Degree level in Finance, Mathematics or similar Quantitative discipline
• Experience with financial market data and referential data
• Ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets (Level 2/Level 3 orderbook data)
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel (macros, pivot tables, charts)
• Experience with analytical tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Jupyter; Rest APIs desirable
• Scripting: SQL (intermediate) and Python; OO programming a bonus
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to understand complex problems
• Good communication and written skills; ability to build relationships at all levels
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
• Understanding of data modelling techniques (supervised/unsupervised); AI desirable
