Overview

As an Associate in the Integrated Oil & Gas coverage, you will support fundamental sector and macro analysis to forecast commodity trends and explore energy-transition themes. You will work within the European Oil & Gas research team to produce research for institutional clients and help expand client access. You collaborate with adjacent teams including Investment Banking and Corporate Broking to ensure rigorous, market-relevant insights. This role blends quantitative modeling with written research to shape energy ideas for a global client base.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop multiple Excel-based models to support fundamental research
• Support the Energy Research team in delivering rigorous research to institutional investors and drive vote capture
• Contribute written work to the European Oil & Gas team’s thematic and stock-specific research
• Assist the team in meeting client marketing and corporate access requirements
• Support colleagues in adjacent fields such as Investment Banking and Corporate Broking

Key requirements

• Academic achievement and relevant transferable experience
• Industry technical and/or commercial energy valuation experience is advantageous
• Interest in the energy sector is essential; sector experience not required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong knowledge of financial markets, solid understanding of financial statements, and advanced financial modeling capability
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
