Overview

As a Software Engineer . Morgan, you will build secure, full-stack features in Java and help advance modern engineering practices within a global, mission-driven bank. You will work with experienced engineers on scalable architectures and AI-powered development tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational resilience. Responsibilities

• Design and deliver full-stack software solutions across the development lifecycle
• Write secure, high-quality production code and perform peer reviews to improve maintainability
• Automate recurring issues to enhance stability and resiliency of applications
• Collaborate in architecture reviews with external vendors and internal teams
• Contribute to engineering communities and promote best practices
• Leverage enterprise AI coding assist tools to improve code quality and speed, with validation via testing and secure coding standards
• Utilize SDLC tools including AI-assisted development to boost automation value
• Support a diverse, inclusive team culture

Key requirements

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
• Hands-on experience in system design, app development, testing, and production support
• Strong Java proficiency and experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, Spring Kafka
• Working knowledge of microservices and Kafka or similar event-driven architectures
• Experience with automation and CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile delivery, including secure engineering practices
• Experience in at least one technical discipline (cloud, data, or mobile)
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-approved AI-assisted development tools and ability to evaluate AI outputs critically
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows
