Python Engineer Trading

Overview

In this role you will contribute to the London trading team by developing and maintaining Python-based live systems used in fast-moving markets. You will help accelerate research and trading workflows through in-house tools and open-source technologies, shaping architecture and improving execution efficiency. The environment is high-intensity, technically rigorous, and collaborative, with a strong focus on alpha generation and continuous learning. You will work closely with peers to elevate performance and reliability in a 24/7 global trading operation.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day technology needs of proprietary trading systems
• Accelerate trading and research workflows via in-house infrastructure and enhanced tooling
• Write performance-sensitive code and user-friendly APIs for data analysis infrastructure access
• Contribute to architecture evolution and technology evangelism in a fast-paced, agile setting

Key requirements

• 5+ years of building demanding, live systems in Python
• Deep Python knowledge and up-to-date with ecosystem and libraries
• Solid understanding of data structures
• Familiarity with Github Actions
• Familiarity with Linux
