Regulatory & Compliance Analyst

Overview

As Regulatory & Compliance Analyst, you will own regulatory workstreams end-to-end as Fuse scales. You will engage across Ofgem submissions, DESNZ, and code bodies, shaping how we navigate the regulatory landscape. Your work will influence policy monitoring, internal processes, and answer regulatory inquiries. This role sits in Regulatory & External Affairs, offering ownership from day one in a fast-paced energy tech company. You will help Fuse balance growth with compliance, contributing to a mission-driven energy platform.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of regulatory workstreams end-to-end in a fast-paced environment
• Support compliance workstreams related to supply licence obligations and industry codes, including tracking obligations and preparing submissions
• Draft responses to regulatory consultations, RFIs and stakeholder queries; support engagement with Ofgem, DESNZ, code bodies and other industry parties
• Monitor regulatory and policy developments across the energy sector and brief internal teams on implications
• Build and maintain compliance trackers, checklists and internal processes to stay ahead of obligations

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in policy, international relations, politics, economics or law
• Knowledge of, or strong interest in, the UK energy industry and its regulatory framework
• Comfortable with data analytics and proficient in spreadsheets
• Excellent written communication for precise regulatory submissions and correspondence
• Thrives with high ownership and is highly organized with multiple deadlines
