Overview
In this role you will support a range of planning projects within a specialist consultancy, contributing to residential and mixed-use developments across the UK. You will work with senior colleagues and external consultants to manage applications, site appraisals, and planning research while developing planning strategies. The position offers exposure to complex planning challenges and an opportunity to grow within a mentor-supported team. You will help deliver practical, strategic advice on development projects and contribute to client meetings and site promotions.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage planning applications and appeals
- Conduct site appraisals, feasibility studies, and planning research
- Help develop planning strategies for residential and mixed-use schemes
- Liaise with local authorities, consultants and stakeholders
- Prepare planning statements and supporting documentation
- Assist with Local Plan representations and site promotion
- Contribute to client meetings and multi-site project delivery
Key requirements
- 2-4 years of town planning experience
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or related field
- Progress towards MRTPI
- Strong understanding of the UK planning system and development process
- Experience preparing planning applications and planning reports
- Strong written communication and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced consultancy environment
