Senior Project Surveyor

Overview

As a Senior Project Surveyor at AECOM, you will oversee cost management across healthcare, life sciences, defence, and tertiary education projects from inception to post-delivery. You join a Norwich-based team, collaborating to deliver projects on time and to client satisfaction while mentoring juniors. Responsibilities

• Support or lead on cost management activities for medium to large projects
• Manage cost management outputs within agreed timescales and quality standards
• Provide full cost management services to clients
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with project team members
• Ensure commissions are managed efficiently and meet client satisfaction
• Communicate effectively with clients and consultants and present cost-related insights
• Mentor and guide junior staff and graduates where possible
• Work as part of an integrated team across the project lifecycle (inception to defects management)

Key requirements

• Degree qualified in construction-related discipline (e.g., Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Construction Management)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to build long-term relationships and balance people and processes
• Experience in a consultancy or client organisation providing full Cost Management services (Pre-Contract Estimating; Procurement; Contract Administration; Cost Reporting; Final Account)
• Solid core measurement skills and experience with quantified procurement routes
• Experience managing internal resources and mentoring junior staff (advantageous)
• Good understanding of contracts (JCT and NEC)
• Preferred: Chartered Quantity Surveying status (RICS CIOB or equivalent), full UK driving license, willingness to travel, CSCS card
