In this role you will advise on distressed and special situations real estate transactions and support complex restructurings. You will work with lenders, investors and corporates on acquisitions, disposals and portfolios while collaborating with cross-office teams to deliver commercial solutions. You’ll handle property-heavy restructurings, enforcement strategies and asset realisation, and manage time-sensitive deals with complex title and financing issues. Responsibilities
- Advise on distressed and special situations real estate transactions (accelerated disposals, pre-pack sales, insolvency-driven deals)
- Represent lenders, investors, PE houses and corporates in acquisitions and disposals of distressed and non-distressed assets
- Support insolvency practitioners on property-heavy restructurings and asset realisation
- Handle short-timetable transactions with complex title, occupancy, and financing issues
- Advise on corporate restructurings involving property assets (group reorganisations)
- Work on corporate support transactions involving loan sales, security assignments, and securitisations with real estate components
- Collaborate with Restructuring & Insolvency, Banking, Real Estate and Corporate teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Engage in residential and commercial development, investment across sectors (retail, hospitality, leisure, industrial, residential)
Key requirements
- Motivated, commercially minded real estate lawyer
- Experience drafting and negotiating leases, options, and sale contracts
- Understanding of corporate acquisitions and business sales (preferable)
- Comfort with multi-disciplined transactions and teamwork
