Overview
In this role you will deliver accurate estimates and cost models for defence and infrastructure projects. You will work within the UK Estimating team to support decision-making and drive estimating excellence for major programmes. You will collaborate with clients and internal teams, contributing to best-practice estimation processes while navigating security and compliance requirements. This is a defence-focused opportunity with impact across high-profile government and industry clients.

Responsibilities
- Produce accurate, timely estimates and cost models for projects from Order of Magnitude to detailed levels
- Organise and control the estimating process at project level, including independent work
- Work independently or as part of a team with limited supervision
- Promote and develop estimating good practice within Turner & Townsend
- Represent Turner & Townsend in client organisations to support objectives
- Support departmental objectives and stay updated on technical developments to provide best-practice advice
Key requirements
- Qualification in Estimating, Quantity Surveying or Cost Engineering
- Defence sector experience
- Experience compiling, assuring and delivering complex estimates and cost models
- Experience in an integrated Project Controls environment
- Public sector project exposure
- Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with strong written and verbal communication for client-facing work
- Chartered status or degree-level education (preferred)
- Experience with early-stage estimating in defence/infrastructure programmes (preferred)
- Familiarity with estimating software packages (preferred)
