As Private Markets Product Manager you will own the strategy and execution for a core private markets platform. You’ll bridge finance and technology to transform complex workflows into intuitive software for institutional professionals. This high-visibility role partners with leadership, clients, engineering, and GTM teams to shape the roadmap and deliver measurable business impact. You will champion the product vision, balance customer needs with long-term strategy, and drive category-defining technology in a rapidly transforming space. Responsibilities

  • Orchestrate demonstrations and executive engagements to evangelize the solution and secure stakeholder buy-in
  • Define, own and evolve the product roadmap for the private markets platform
  • Be the primary point of contact for private markets and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Prioritize the product backlog with Leadership, balancing technical debt and strategic investments
  • Immerse in private markets workflows through interviews and observation to translate into actionable insights
  • Write product specifications and collaborate with engineering and design to ship high-quality features on time
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to write user features and stories with clear acceptance criteria
  • Define success metrics for initiatives and use data to evaluate outcomes and inform decisions
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to understand market gaps and evolving needs
  • Identify opportunities to integrate AI and automation into core workflows
  • Drive alignment across teams on priorities, tradeoffs, and rationale behind decisions
  • Stay ahead of regulatory, market, and competitive developments in private markets tech
  • Represent the voice of the customer to protect user experience while ensuring business viability
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to solicit input for user stories

Key requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS or fintech
  • Meaningful exposure to private markets (PE, funds, LPs, or related software)
  • Track record of launching products and features with measurable business results
  • Strong understanding of private asset structures, capital calls, distributions, investor reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to executives and leveraging AI
  • Data proficiency with usage metrics and dashboards for decision making
  • Experience collaborating with engineering in an agile environment; high EQ and stakeholder trust
  • Curiosity about technology and its role in financial services
  • Experience engaging clients to gather input for user stories
  • Broad knowledge of the Alternative Investment marketplace and system vendors
  • Familiarity with SimCorp Dimension (advantageous but not required)
  • Background in roles like Product Manager, Product Owner, Engineer, Business Analyst, PM/Consultant in software
  • Strategic mindset focused on business outcomes and complete product offers
  • Ability to motivate teams and contribute to cross-team improvements
  • Understanding of how great products deliver client value
  • Creative, analytical, and ability to simplify complex concepts
  • Degree in Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
