Overview

In this role you will lead on a 36m, fast-paced, new-build steel frame project in Wolverhampton, guiding the on-site team to deliver industrial and commercial works. You will work within a growing, privately owned contractor known for repeat business and strong client relationships. The position offers career progression and a permanent contract with a project duration of around 42 weeks. You will contribute to delivering high-quality steel-frame construction while ensuring safety and efficiency on site.

Responsibilities

• oversee day-to-day site activities on a 36m steel-frame project
• lead and coordinate the on-site team and subcontractors
• manage health and safety, quality, and programme on site
• ensure timely progress and troubleshooting on a fast-paced build
• maintain strong site documentation and reporting
• align work with client requirements and contract terms

Key requirements

• Degree qualification or other related construction qualification (ideally)
• extensive experience with a reputable main contractor
• experience on new build industrial and commercial projects
• track record on fast-paced projects
• steel frame experience
• SMSTS, CSCS & First Aid certification
