Overview

As Lead AI Tech Architect, you define IT strategies and architecture for clients, bridging business aims with scalable tech solutions. You lead architecture delivery for complex banking projects and guide teams to transform client capabilities. You’ll influence senior stakeholders and shape practice development while collaborating across the firm. This role offers impact in core banking modernization within a global, technology-driven consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• own end-to-end, technically complex modules within projects
• define target and reference architectures and roadmaps for large-scale transformations
• secure buy-in for architectural recommendations with clients and stakeholders
• lead and mentor architects and junior team members
• contribute to proposals, client care, and relationship building
• support practice area development and brand building within the case team

Key requirements

• 10+ years’ experience as Lead Technology, Solution or Enterprise Architect in Financial Services
• experience designing modern architectures with focus on scalability, resilience, observability and security
• strong knowledge of integration architecture (REST APIs, event-driven, messaging)
• experience with DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and platform engineering
• ability to define Target Architectures, Reference Architectures, and technology roadmaps
• experience managing architectural debt and driving tech evolution in large estates
• leadership experience guiding teams and influencing stakeholders
• ability to balance strategic thinking with pragmatic delivery and articulate trade-offs
• experience adopting AI-assisted architecture/tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, Claude)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related; TOGAF and cloud certs desirable
• hands-on experience with core banking platforms (e.g., Temenos Transact, Finacle, FIS, Oracle FLEXCUBE, Avaloq, Thought Machine, Mambu, 10x Banking, Engine by Starling)
