Director, Real Estate Asset Management

Overview

In this role you will lead asset management for Realty Income’s UK portfolio, driving occupancy, income, and ESG initiatives. You will partner with the Head of AM & VA and cross-functional teams to shape strategy, manage client relationships, and execute value-adding activities as the portfolio grows. This is a high-visibility position in a fast-expanding market, offering meaningful impact on portfolio performance and regional growth. You will work with top retail clients and external partners to deliver durable returns and sustainable initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Deliver returns on a diverse UK portfolio
• Manage client relationships, including top 10 clients
• Coordinate Annual Business Planning and Budgeting
• Lead portfolio discussions/deals with analysis and presentations
• Drive Client Service Team across multiple clients
• Direct ESG initiatives across the portfolio (EV charging, solar, SMART, community initiatives)
• Oversee lease renewals, rent reviews, regears, and lettings with negotiations and legal liaison
• Manage monthly leasing meetings with agents and managers
• Identify additive revenue opportunities through developments and commercialisation
• Oversee developments at existing sites (amalgamations, expansions, extensions) and liaise with investment teams

Key requirements

• Extensive real estate asset management experience in retail/warehouse/logistics
• Significant financial responsibility or accountability
• Experience in leasing, rent reviews, renewals, investment, development, valuation
• Strong CRE principles with advanced analytical and IT skills including Excel
• People management and resource leadership
• Strong negotiating skills and persuasive communication
• Excellent verbal and written communication for senior stakeholders
• Ability to manage disagreements and present recommendations
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; willingness to travel
• Desirable: 1st class honours undergraduate degree
