Engineering Team Leader

Overview

As Engineering Team Leader you will steer a multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver high-quality maintenance services within KPI guidelines. You’ll coordinate daily activities of Resident Engineers, ensuring safe, compliant work and strong customer service. The role combines hands-on management with process improvement in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. You’ll lead by example, drive safety, and contribute to on-site continuous improvement in a global robotics and intralogistics context.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver the engineering service within KPI guidelines
• Plan and manage daily activities of the Resident Engineers
• Represent Swisslog professionally in all interactions with customers
• Ensure work meets SLA requirements and safety standards
• Conduct performance reviews and coach team members
• Provide risk assessments, method statements, and maintenance documentation
• Drive continuous improvement on site and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation

Key requirements

• Previous experience as an Engineering Team Leader
• Apprentice-trained Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with Level 3 qualification
• Experience working with automation
• Ability to work at heights
• Strong communication skills for a customer-facing role
• Adaptability and integrity in knowledge sharing
• ONC or HNC advantageous
• Experience with automated warehouses
• PPM planning
• IOSH qualification
• Health and Safety (ISO 45001) understanding
• Computer literacy with MS Office
