Overview
As a Partner Development Manager, you will shape Stripe’s multi-year global banking partnership strategy and execute high-impact, cross-border collaboration with banks and financial institutions. You’ll work with product, engineering, legal, finance, risk, and banking executives to differentiate Stripe through partner-led initiatives. The role blends strategy, execution, and relationship-building to scale a network that enables Stripe’s product roadmap. You will drive meaningful partnerships that unlock new capabilities for Stripe users.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the go-to-partner strategy for a global banking network and cross-border initiatives
- Own partner plans, economics, and day-to-day operations to drive partnerships to successful outcomes
- Leverage banking, treasury, and payments knowledge to craft partner and product strategies with banks, lenders, and payments ecosystems
- Collaborate with Product to design deals and ensure solid execution plans
- Coordinate with risk, compliance, product, finance, and treasury to align on partner strategy
- Identify and evangelize Stripe’s value to partners and translate needs into deals that support strategy
- Utilize industry experience to guide internal teams on a bank-led strategy and advance it with partners
- Monitor banking landscape to advise on product opportunities and optimize or replace offerings
Key requirements
- 7+ years in financial services with direct banking experience in cash management, FIG, or payments
- Experience in partner management or business development with PSPs or fintechs
- Advanced knowledge of banking/clearing landscape across geographies, especially transaction banking, e-money, safeguarding, multi-currency and cross-border payments
- Proven track record in a product-centric environment with cross-functional dependencies
- Broad experience executing industry-wide partnership strategies to create product experiences and GTM models
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to push for Stripe-driven value and differentiation
