Overview

As a Senior Building Surveyor in Manchester, you will lead professional and project-led surveying services across sectors, guiding projects from inception to completion. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to shape refurbishment and redevelopment schemes while ensuring compliance and quality. You’ll manage multiple high-value projects, mentor junior surveyors, and support APC development in a collaborative, growth-focused environment. This role combines client leadership, technical delivery, and ongoing professional progression within a respected international consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Managing refurbishment, asset improvement and redevelopment projects
• Producing specifications, schedules of work and technical reports
• Providing contract administration services and overseeing project delivery
• Working with industry-standard contracts, including JCT and NEC
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Mentoring junior surveyors and assisting with APC development and professional training
• Supporting senior managers day-to-day

Key requirements

• MRICS chartered status is highly desirable
• Experience delivering professional and project-led Building Surveying services
• Strong client-facing and communication skills
• Commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple projects
• Full understanding of Health & Safety requirements and Statutory Compliance
