Overview
In this role you will drive accurate financial reporting and robust controls for McArthurGlen’s UK portfolio. You will partner with Centre Management and business stakeholders to inform decision-making and strengthen governance. You’ll manage management accounts, statutory reporting, budgeting and cashflow, while supporting taxation, treasury and valuations. The position sits in the UK Finance team, offering exposure to cross-country operations and a collaborative, improvement-focused culture. You’ll play a key role in delivering insightful financial information that supports the business strategy.

Responsibilities
- Deliver UK entity accounting and compliance with statutory and corporate policies
- Maintain robust financial records including reconciliations, fixed assets, petty cash, and SOX documentation
- Prepare monthly management accounts and quarterly reports for management and investors
- Produce budgets, forecasts, cashflow and capex forecasts to support planning
- Prepare annual statutory financial statements under UK GAAP and group reporting submissions
- Support banking, treasury activities and facility reporting
- Provide financial information to support property valuations and accounting for management and leasing fees
- Partner with Centre Management to provide financial insight for operational performance
- Lead, coach and develop the UK Property Management Accountant(s)
- Champion continuous improvement of financial processes and standardised working across the team
Key requirements
- Qualified accountant or equivalent experience
- Strong technical accounting background with UK GAAP, VAT and tax reporting knowledge
- Experience in financial accounting, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and statutory reporting
- Ability to analyse financial data and translate into business insights
- Excellent organizational, prioritization and attention to detail
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Collaborative mindset and cross-team working ability
- Proactive approach to process improvement
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- ERP experience; Workday is advantageous
