Security Cleared Associate / Project Director: Digital Project Controls, Defence – Glasgow/ Bristol/ London

Overview

In this role you lead digital P3M transformations for defence clients, aligning projects with Defence lifecycles and secure delivery. You’ll steer multi-disciplinary teams and technology suppliers to embed digitally-enabled ways of working, improve governance and assurance, and drive investment value. You’ll work with MoD organisations and Tier 1 partners to deliver complex portfolios that realise military capability and transformational change. Responsibilities

• Assess client challenges and requirements within complex Defence delivery environments
• Implement or refine P3M methodologies, data structures, and tools to enable desired outcomes
• Lead technology suppliers and digital delivery teams in secure environments
• Embed changes through stakeholder engagement and business readiness activities
• Produce client-facing findings, reports and recommendations across engagements
• Collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams on client sites and virtually
• Support business development activities including bids and proposals
• Contribute to marketing and employee advocacy where appropriate

Key requirements

• Graduate calibre with relevant industry experience
• Experience transforming project working methods and integrating P3M disciplines with enterprise functions
• Defence sector experience with MoD or Tier 1 suppliers (advantageous)
• Understanding of Defence acquisition processes (CADMID/CADMIT) and governance frameworks
• Experience in secure or regulated environments
• Ability to define or refine project structures integrating asset information, work, resource, schedule, cost and risk
• Experience implementing project controls or P3M technology
• Experience in major capital programmes or large portfolios
• Familiarity with core project controls (scope, schedule, cost, risk, reporting)
• Experience in business capability establishment or change
• APM/PMI or similar certification (advantageous)
