Overview
As Refrigeration Engineer, you will maintain and service heavy industrial ammonia-based systems across the UK, in food and FMCG environments. You join a long-established team known for technical excellence and a supportive culture. You’ll tackle service, maintenance, fault-finding, and installation tasks, working with in-house fabrication support. The role offers long-term stability, overtime earnings, and the chance to work on large-scale ammonia refrigeration projects that have a real impact on production efficiency.
Pay / Benefits
- 25 days holiday
- Sick pay: 6 weeks full pay + 6 weeks half pay

Responsibilities
- Service, maintenance and fault-finding of heavy industrial ammonia refrigeration systems
- Installations and commissioning work on ammonia systems
- Travel to customer sites across the UK
- Collaborate with in-house fabrication and coded welding teams
- Provide proactive support to keep systems reliable and compliant
Key requirements
- Experience in industrial refrigeration
- Experience working with ammonia based refrigeration systems
- Ammonia training and certification
- Experience within food production or FMCG environments
- Service, maintenance and fault-finding capability
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel across the UK
- Proactive, reliable engineer with a strong technical mindset
