Overview

In this role you contribute to the energy transition by delivering renewables projects across generation, storage, and grid infrastructure. You’ll join a seasoned Renewables team within a global infrastructure firm and support projects in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, from feasibility to site construction. You’ll work on diverse technologies and projects, collaborating with utilities and developers to create real, scalable impact. Responsibilities

  • Contribute to multiple project stages from feasibility to detailed design and construction supervision
  • Support design across technologies such as on/offshore wind, solar PV, hydroelectric, grid connection works, hydrogen storage, and battery energy storage systems
  • Provide technical input and coordination across project teams for HV/grid and energy facility design
  • Work on projects in various regions (UK, Europe, MENA, Africa) and adapt to area-specific engineering requirements
  • Collaborate with utilities and developers to deliver compliant, efficient energy solutions
  • Engage in design delivery cycles and ensure alignment with client objectives and standards

Key requirements

  • Engineering or relevant science background; master’s degree
  • Experience with design as a major component of the role
  • Experience across full design delivery from inception to detailed design
  • Chartered or working towards chartership
  • Preference for energy market experience; not strictly required if passionate about renewable energy
  • Beneficial experience in HV grid connections, hydroelectric design, wind energy (onshore/offshore) and storage technologies
  • HV grid connection works (cabling, substation civil)
  • Hydroelectric design (run-of-river, pumped storage)
  • Onshore and offshore wind experience (turbine considerations, >180m tip height)
  • Grid connection and electrical infrastructure
  • Hydrogen production and storage
  • Battery energy storage systems (BESS)
