Quality Management Lead (Commissioning)

Overview

As Quality Management Lead, you will drive compliance with project quality requirements across the full lifecycle of the HPC build. You will work within the central Quality Management Team to ensure QA/QC standards are applied to design, procurement, manufacturing, and site activities. You will lead LTQR management and PQCP development, coordinating with cross-functional teams and external inspectors. This is a high-impact role on a flagship nuclear project with a strong focus on right-first-time delivery and regulatory traceability.

Responsibilities

• Author and execute Project Quality Control Plans (PQCP) for assigned contracts aligning with GQAS and ITP specs
• Review and monitor Contractors’ Quality Assurance Plans (CQAP) from Tier 1/2 supply chain
• Identify and coordinate supplier audits, track findings to resolution
• Implement risk-graded manufacturing surveillance and coordinate off-site inspections
• Establish hold and witness points within ITPs, Quality Plans, and Follow-Up Documents
• Review and accept End of Manufacturing Reports (EoMR), End of Construction Status Reports (ECSR), and End of Erection Status Reports (EESR) for quality release
• Lead LTQR implementation and detailed review for regulatory traceability
• Coordinate with multi-cultural delivery teams, clients, and external inspection bodies
• Identify and resolve non-conformances and drive continuous improvement across the programme

Key requirements

• Education in a relevant science/engineering/quality management discipline (or equivalent)
• Nuclear or safety-critical QA/QC experience in regulated environments
• Proven track record implementing QA tools, inspection frameworks, and improvement initiatives
• Strong stakeholder engagement and multi-cultural collaboration skills
• Technical rigor in nuclear quality documentation, material certifications, and regulatory compliance
• Ability to challenge supply chain partners and drive a Right First Time culture
