Learning Support Assistants – Bath

Overview

In this role you will support pupils across lessons, helping them access learning in ways that suit their needs. You will apply musical understanding to engage and motivate students and contribute to inclusive, accessible lessons. You’ll provide 1:1 and small group support, building positive relationships to foster confident, well-behaved learners. This is a chance to combine creativity with education while developing in SEN support and safeguarding practices.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in lessons, adapting delivery to individual needs
• Use creativity and musical understanding to engage learners
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support, including pupils with additional learning needs
• Assist teachers in delivering inclusive, accessible lessons
• Foster calm, structured, positive learning environments
• Promote confidence, participation, and positive behaviour through supportive relationships

Key requirements

• Background or strong interest in music (performance, study, or teaching)
• Experience with children or young people is beneficial but not essential
• Patient, empathetic, and encouraging approach
• Good communication skills and ability to build positive relationships
