Commercial Gas Engineer

Overview

In this role you will service, maintain and repair commercial boiler systems, install and decommission temporary boiler solutions, and respond to emergency breakdowns across industrial sites. You’ll work closely with a specialist HVAC team to support temperature control solutions for commercial customers. The role offers ongoing technical training, career progression, and a clear impact on uptime and safety in demanding environments. This is a hands-on position with a strong focus on gas-safe, boiler-based fault-finding and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair commercial boilers and burners
• Install, commission and decommission temporary boiler systems
• Fault find on gas, oil, electrical and heating systems
• Attend emergency breakdowns across commercial and industrial sites
• Work with pumps, heat exchangers, pipework and associated HVAC equipment

Key requirements

• Commercial Gas Safe qualifications – COCN1 or CODNCO1
• Relevant commercial appliance modules such as CIGA1, ICPN1 and TPCP1A
• Experience with commercial boilers and forced-draught burners
• Strong heating and electrical fault-finding skills
• Full UK driving licence
• OFTEC would be advantageous for oil-fired equipment
