Overview
In this role you build and run high-fidelity simulations that blend virtual, constructive, and live hardware models to test cutting-edge EW systems. You will deliver repeatable synthetic trials for government and industry partners, shaping a first-of-its-kind synthetic range across visible, IR, and RF domains. You collaborate with EW specialists to ensure accurate, scalable scene generation and timing. This position offers meaningful impact through secure, mission-focused simulation work at our St Neots site.

Responsibilities
- develop and automate real-time simulation runs using spectrum-wide scene generation
- integrate software models with live hardware and bespoke RTOS
- design and implement test automation for real-time systems
- build and maintain virtual/constructive scenarios to meet customer requirements
- ensure accurate timing and synchronization across simulation components
- contribute to the development of the synthetic range and its tooling
- collaborate with government and industry partners on trials
Key requirements
- Experience writing test automation scripts for real-time systems (MATLAB, Python, LabView)
- Experience in Virtual/Constructive environments (software models, scripting behaviours, synchronization)
- Experience integrating software/hardware models via ICDs/APIs to ensure correct timing
- Strong problem-solving abilities
