Contracts Supervisor – Construction Job in North London, London – 35,000 – 40,000

Overview

In this role you oversee timber frame construction on sites across North and Northwest London, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery. You report to the Contracts Manager and coordinate with the Principal Contractor’s Site Manager to maintain standards. You lead the timber frame crew, monitor progress, and hand over completed frames. This is a hands-on supervisory position within a contractor-led, quality-focused environment with a strong emphasis on health, safety and customer service. You will work as a key link between site activity and head office, shaping project outcomes and site performance.

Responsibilities

• On-site supervision of the timber frame erector crew
• Liaison with the Principal Contractor’s Site Manager on site
• Daily progress reporting to the Contract Manager
• Weekly project reporting to head office
• Quality inspections recording
• HSE performance on site
• Timber frame handovers
• Track progress against plan and coordinate daily/weekly tasks

Key requirements

• Experience as Contracts Supervisor or timber frame site foreman
• Essential timber frame building experience including roof truss and timber structures
• Ability to lead a on-site team
• Clear professional communication with internal and external stakeholders
• CSCS card or 5-day SMSTS
