Lead Software Engineer

Overview

In this lead role, you will stay hands-on while shaping the technical direction of a major product area. You will mentor engineers, influence architecture and the product roadmap, and deliver mission-critical software. You’ll work closely with product and design to add features with a focus on security and reliability, making a tangible impact on real-world use. This position combines technical excellence with leadership to drive the product forward.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build complex production software
• Own technical decisions across the product area
• Lead and mentor other engineers

Key requirements

• Several years of strong software engineering experience
• Experience leading or managing other engineers
• Strong programming skills in C++, Java, Rust or Python, and/or TypeScript/JavaScript
• Experience designing and delivering complex production systems
• Strong architectural judgement and pragmatic decision-making
• Interest in using modern AI coding tools
