HTML5 CSS MVC Developer

Overview

In this role you lead the frontend development of a cutting-edge fintech payments web platform. You will drive production, modification and maintenance of user interfaces, with a focus on usability and scalable UI. The position is largely greenfield, offering strategic influence and opportunities to push innovative web technologies. You will work in a casual, startup-like environment while tackling high-impact challenges in a market-leading payments business.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontend development of the web platform using HTML5, JavaScript and CSS3
• Own production, modification and maintenance of UI for websites and web apps
• Develop, test and improve usability for new and existing sites
• Deliver mostly greenfield projects with a strategic focus
• Guide personal projects and contribute to frontend strategy
• Advocate for best UX, data display and interaction patterns
• Ensure browser compatibility and implement web development best practices

Key requirements

• Proven web application development experience
• Strong UX focus with data presentation and interaction design
• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
• REST APIs
• Angular.JS or Ember.JS
• MVC and OO design patterns (preferred)
• Knowledge of user-centered design, information architecture and usability principles
• Experience with web development methodologies and cross-browser compatibility
• Portfolio including GitHub
