Landfill Gas Engineer

Overview

In this site-based role you will support renewable energy generation by maintaining and monitoring landfill gas systems. You will work closely with the site team to manage gas collection equipment and power generation assets, ensuring reliability across multiple sites. The position balances hands-on maintenance with data-driven monitoring and occasional on-call support, contributing to long-term energy solutions for waste management. Responsibilities

• Monitor gas collection systems on landfill sites and balance analysers; download data
• Carry out maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair of gas collection systems
• Respond to 24-hour emergency call-outs on a 1-in-6-week rotation
• Maintain and service power generation engines and related equipment
• Work site-based with travel to multiple locations
