Overview

As Data Science Manager at BT Networks, you guide a team of data scientists and analysts to translate business challenges into scalable ML and AI solutions. You’ll shape data products that inform strategic decisions and improve network performance and customer outcomes. This role combines people leadership with hands-on analytics to drive measurable business value across BT Group. You’ll work with cross-functional partners to push innovation in data science and AI while aligning with the company’s customer-first, transformation-focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of data scientists and analysts, fostering an inclusive, high-performing environment
• Translate complex business problems into practical ML/AI/data science solutions
• Design and deploy scalable data products supporting strategic decisions
• Work with large-scale network datasets to identify efficiency and performance opportunities
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, product, and business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Communicate complex findings through data storytelling, visuals, and clear recommendations
• Drive innovation and influence the future direction of Data Science and AI within BT Networks

Key requirements

• Proven experience applying ML/AI and statistical techniques to real-world business problems with end-to-end delivery
• Hands-on Python expertise with strong maths, statistics, and analytics foundation
