Commercial Manager

Overview

In this role you lead a commercial team acting as Employer’s Agent for a series of Framework Contractors. You drive monthly assessments, cost reviews and final accounts across call-off packages, ensuring KPI targets and timely reporting. You’ll shape commercial strategy, manage EMI and PDA works, and contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting. The position sits at the intersection of project delivery and financial governance within CPS’s M25 operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Quantity Surveyors acting as Employer’s Agent for Framework Contractors
• Oversee monthly assessments of contractor applications and cost reviews for pricing call-off works
• Audit costs in line with the Employers audit regime for NEC Option C contracts
• Agree or recommend final accounts with Framework Contractors for each call-off package
• Ensure CPS KPIs are achieved and report monthly on performance vs AMFP and rolling forecast
• Maintain monthly CPS forecasts for EMI works and report to the Employer
• Prepare and submit CVR reports to senior management; assist in AMFP preparation
• Manage CPS Subcontractors PDA works, including liabilities, payments and EVM
• Contribute to annual budgeting (AMFP) and strategic approach to Framework Contractors
• Participate in M25 Community events (CTSG and commercial forums)

Key requirements

• Previous experience running and managing a Commercial Team
• Experience in commercial management of NEC Option C acting as Employer’s Agent
• Detailed understanding of NEC contract operations
• Experience in Cost Accreditation auditing
• Experience in EVM calculations and reporting
• Membership of a relevant professional body and/or working towards a professional qualification (desirable)
• CSCS card is required
