Overview

In this Executive Director role, you lead execution consulting for the ECS team, driving analysis, research, and client engagement around algorithmic trading and liquidity products. You will shape the platform’s execution-performance narrative, set the research agenda, and translate insights into product priorities. As a senior advisor to top clients and a partner to Sales, Trading, Technology, and Q/R, you mentor the team and influence the growth of our electronic trading business. You will stay ahead on equities trading, market structure, and regulation while representing the franchise externally.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategic agenda for execution consulting and performance analysis across the EMEA algorithmic and liquidity product suite
• Develop platform-wide execution-performance narratives and research to identify opportunities to improve execution quality and reduce client costs
• Act as a senior advisor to major clients, leading execution reviews and bespoke analyses on performance and market structure
• Educate clients on the product suite and produce high-impact thought leadership and client marketing material
• Produce and oversee analyses of product usage, client trends, execution performance, and revenues to inform strategy
• Shape the product roadmap with Technology and Quantitative Research, prioritising performance-based enhancements
• Represent the franchise externally to clients and at industry forums, and participate in market-structure and regulatory dialogue
• Mentor and develop consultants and analysts, raising analytical and commercial capability
• Maintain authoritative knowledge of equities trading, market structure, and evolving regulation
• Ensure adherence to regulatory, best-execution, and control requirements

Key requirements

• Extensive experience in execution consulting, algorithmic trading, product management, or quantitative trading within equities with a track record of senior client impact
• Authoritative understanding of equities market structure and microstructure
• Strong quantitative and statistical skills to interrogate large datasets and extract actionable insight
• Proven ability to lead a research or consulting agenda and influence product strategy across functions
• Proficiency in programming (Python, q/KDB) and handling large tick/trade datasets
• Senior client-facing presence with excellent communication and commercial awareness
