Specialist – Software Engineering

Overview

In this role you will design, develop and maintain scalable applications in the investment banking domain using Core Java, React and cloud-native technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, event-driven solutions and ensure high quality through testing and best practices. The position focuses on building scalable back-end services, REST/gRPC APIs, and cloud-native deployments on Kubernetes with AWS. This is a hands-on role with significant scope to shape architecture and performance in a fast-paced financial environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead development initiatives across React, Java and cloud-native stack
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and gRPC services for frontend-backend integration
• Collaborate with DevOps to support CI/CD pipelines and deployments in Kubernetes/AWS
• Mentor junior developers on Java, ReactJS, Kafka, Apache Ignite and cloud-native practices
• Ensure security, performance, and scalability; troubleshoot production issues
• Document architecture, design decisions and operational procedures
• Apply domain knowledge in risk management to align technical solutions with business needs

Key requirements

• 5 to 7 years of experience in Core Java, React and cloud-native technologies
• Experience with Kubernetes and AWS services
• Proficiency with Kafka and Apache Ignite
• RESTful API and gRPC development experience
• Strong multithreading, algorithms, data structures
• UI development with JavaScript/TypeScript/HTML5/CSS3
• Ability to work in an investment banking/risk domain
• Strong collaboration and Agile participation skills
