Overview

In this role, you will lead a university-wide transformation programme to modernise Finance, HR and Payroll through business process redesign and digital enablement. You’ll provide strategic direction across a portfolio of integrated projects, ensuring governance, value delivery and successful outcomes. Working with executive sponsors and senior leaders, you will shape the future operating model and drive efficiency, sustainability and service excellence. Responsibilities

  • Accountable for end-to-end delivery of a large-scale transformation programme spanning Finance, HR, Payroll, organisational change and digital enablement
  • Provide strategic governance, financial oversight, risk management and benefits realisation across the programme
  • Lead a portfolio of integrated projects and manage relationships with executive sponsors and senior leaders
  • Oversee budgets, resources and external suppliers, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities
  • Deliver high-quality reports, briefings and recommendations to governance bodies
  • Engage stakeholders across the institution and drive complex change initiatives
  • Shape the future operating environment to improve sustainability, efficiency and service excellence

Key requirements

  • Proven track record leading large-scale transformation programmes in complex environments
  • Strong programme and portfolio management, governance and risk management experience
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders on cross-organisational initiatives
  • Ability to produce high-quality reporting and recommendations for governance bodies
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical, communication and influencing skills
  • Comfort working autonomously, advising senior leaders and translating strategy into measurable outcomes
  • Experience in higher education or the public sector is advantageous
  • Relevant professional qualifications in programme management, change management or transformation leadership advantageous
