Overview

As Counter Lead you will drive sales and market share by delivering a consumer‑focused brand experience. You will uphold a professional brand image, exceed service standards, and execute local marketing and events aligned to retail activity. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to implement brand strategy, optimise omni‑channel opportunities, and recruit/retain loyal customers. This role blends in‑store leadership with brand ambassador responsibilities to protect and grow the Estée Lauder presence.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a credible, professional brand image for all customers and channels
  • Maximise sales through selling, service excellence, and retail standards
  • Follow store, Brand, and Company procedures to improve efficiencies
  • Understand daily/weekly targets and monitor performance
  • Leverage eventing, omni‑channel, and digital channels for sales opportunities
  • Monitor competitor activity and identify missed opportunities
  • Utilise social media to protect and enhance brand image and drive business
  • Deliver the Brand Strategy and local plan through effective execution
  • Plan and run local marketing and events initiatives aligned to retailer activity
  • Deliver service excellence with continuous improvement measures and a positive customer experience
  • Act as Brand ambassador to embody brand values
  • Handle refunds/complaints per guidelines and escalate to Area Manager when needed
  • Use digital tools to keep knowledge up to date
  • Execute consumer recruitment and retention strategies to grow the customer base
  • Develop up‑to‑date product knowledge to deliver industry leading experiences
  • Ensure high standards in product, housekeeping, displays, messaging, and pricing
  • Complete deliveries, stock movements, and admin within company timeframes
  • Maintain auditable processes and take corrective action for risks
  • Fulfil information requests accurately by deadlines
  • Minimise stock loss via security policy adherence
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to policies
  • Achieve minimum ‘Acceptable’ grade in health & safety audits
  • Plan replenishment and analyse commercial reports for decisions
  • Design and deliver visual merchandising within guidelines and timeframes
  • Identify stock package issues and inform Area Manager when needed
  • Manage promotions and discounts per guidelines
  • Identify trends and suggest actions to enhance product performance
