Civil Design Engineer

Overview

As Civil Design Engineer, you will design roads, drainage and sewer infrastructure for development projects, supporting delivery from feasibility to construction. You’ll collaborate with clients, authorities and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure compliant, high-quality designs. Responsibilities

• Design roads, drainage and sewer infrastructure for development projects
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, calculations and technical reports
• Undertake site development and infrastructure design for residential and commercial schemes
• Liaise with clients, local authorities, statutory bodies and project teams
• Support project delivery from feasibility through to construction
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulations and client requirements
• Assist with coordination and management of project documentation and drawing packages

Key requirements

• Proven civil engineering design experience in a consultancy, developer or housebuilder environment
• Experience in site development, roads, drainage and sewer design
• Strong understanding of UK design standards and approval processes
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within a team
• Practical design experience is essential
• Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Chartered Engineer (CEng MICE) preferred; candidates working towards Chartership considered
