Private Client Associate – Plymouth – 5+ Years PQE

Overview

In this senior Private Client role, you will manage a demanding caseload across Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, LPAs, Trusts and IHT planning within a respected Plymouth firm. You will mentor junior lawyers and support staff, help shape department processes, and lead business development to grow referral networks. You’ll contribute to strategic direction and the ongoing development of the Private Client team. Responsibilities

• Manage a complex caseload covering Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, LPAs, Trusts and IHT planning
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and support staff
• Contribute to team development, process improvement and best practice
• Lead business development initiatives and build referral networks
• Support the wider strategic direction and growth of the department

Key requirements

• 5+ years’ PQE in private client work
• STEP membership (or working towards it) desirable
• Strong technical knowledge across all private client areas
• Ability to manage complex matters with minimal supervision
• Experience supervising and developing junior colleagues
• Strong commercial awareness and confidence generating new business
• Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
