Associate / Solicitor – Construction – Bournemouth

Overview

In this role you will handle construction disputes for a regional law firm in Bournemouth. You will focus on contentious matters while supporting non-contentious work as needed, advising clients from contractors to landowners. You’ll manage your own caseload with supervision from the Head of Team and deliver strong client service in a collaborative environment. The position offers structured training and a chance to build a focused construction specialism. A proactive, communicative solicitor with litigation exposure will thrive here.

Responsibilities

• Advise on construction disputes, adjudication, mediation and court proceedings
• Provide strategic advice as disputes arise
• Support non-contentious construction matters when required
• Collaborate with contractors, developers, landowners and consultants
• Assist clients with contractual structures and risk management
• Manage own caseload with supervision from Head of Team
• Deliver excellent client service within a collaborative team

Key requirements

• Qualified Solicitor (NQ-4 PQE or above)
• Litigation experience from training or post qualification
• Genuine interest in developing a construction specialism
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, motivated approach
• Commitment to excellent client service
• Enjoys working as part of a close knit, supportive team
• Previous construction experience is not essential – enthusiasm and litigation exposure matter most
