Senior Project Manager – Mechanical

Overview

In this role you lead mechanical-focused delivery on large data centre projects, guiding a team from inception to completion while upholding quality, safety, and environmental standards. You collaborate with clients and design teams to align electrical and mechanical submissions, support planning, and drive site progress. You’ll chair subcontractor meetings, report progress, and foster operational excellence across projects. Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a project team to deliver mechanical works to plan, quality and safety standards
• Coordinate on-site construction activities and monitor progress against schedule
• Develop and agree mechanical submission and approval processes with client and design team
• Support overall programming and planning of the build
• Attend site meetings and provide progress information for reports
• Chair and minute subcontractor meetings
• Record and communicate key metrics to team and management
• Review procedures and implement best practices for operational efficiency and safety

Key requirements

• Experience with a main contractor or large subcontractor
• Proven people management experience and ability to mentor team members
• Strong technical knowledge of Mechanical Services
• Solid problem-solving abilities
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and deadline focus
• Customer-focused with effective client communication
• Attention to health and safety matters
• Commercial awareness
• Experience in the data centre sector
• Degree of equivalent in Mechanical discipline (desirable)
