Overview
In this role, you will own complex financial reporting, statutory accounts and IFRS compliance within a large, established business. You’ll work closely with the Financial Controller and senior finance leaders to strengthen controls and deliver high-quality reporting. The role offers exposure to group reporting, technical accounting matters and business-wide initiatives that shape process improvement. It’s a hands-on, influential position in a high-performing finance function with a clear progression path.

Responsibilities
- Own balance sheet controls and reconciliations and improve them
- Lead IFRS 16 lease accounting and ensure company-wide compliance
- Prepare and analyse quarterly group reporting submissions
- Produce statutory accounts aligned with management and group reporting
- Coordinate and manage year-end external audit
- Provide technical accounting guidance across finance and non-finance teams
- Support corporation tax, R&D tax claims, VAT and CIS compliance
- Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls
- Coach and develop finance team members
- Support Financial Controller on strategic finance initiatives and projects
Key requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience
- Experience preparing statutory accounts
- Knowledge of IFRS and financial control environments
- Previous involvement in external audits
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Advanced Excel and ERP system knowledge
