Senior leadership role overseeing the Development Infrastructure Team to deliver high-quality built environment projects. You will drive technical excellence, manage budgets, and grow the opportunity pipeline while collaborating with the Team Director on strategy and growth. Expect leadership across infrastructure, drainage, highways and flood risk, with a focus on sustainable, low-carbon design and profitable project delivery. Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and technical leadership on complex civil engineering projects
• Lead and develop the team, managing resource allocation and performance
• Oversee budgets, income, and expenditure for the team
• Identify and secure new business opportunities and foster client relationships
• Collaborate with other disciplines for integrated design solutions
• Drive innovation in sustainable and low-carbon infrastructure design
• Support company financial performance and practice development
• Oversee multi-project delivery in infrastructure, drainage, highways, and flood risk management
• Ensure compliance with regulations and codes of practice across projects
• Represent the company at industry events and client meetings
• Mentor civil engineers and promote professional development
• Implement digital design tools and emerging technologies
• Set and manage budgets for the civil engineering division
• Provide updates to Directors for monitoring and planning purposes
• Support CPD activities across the practice

Key requirements

• Minimum 5 years relevant post-chartered experience
• Highly developed technical competence
• Proven track record in project management and delivering profitable projects
• Experience in business development and driving practice management
• People/teams management experience and coaching skills
• Involvement with high-profile Architects
• Strong financial control over projects, appointments and fees
• Ability to deliver significant contribution to practice management
• Interest in architecture and design
• Ability to develop new business
