In this role you will support a leading Court of Protection Property and Financial Affairs team in Cardiff, handling deputyship and trust matters for vulnerable clients. You will manage your own caseload with supervision, draft Court of Protection applications, and coordinate with clients, families, and professionals to safeguard clients’ financial affairs. You will work in a collaborative, well-structured environment that emphasizes professional development and client care. Responsibilities
- Assist with management of Property and Financial Affairs Deputyship matters
- Manage own caseload with supervision
- Prepare Court of Protection applications and Deputy Reports
- Support day-to-day financial management including budgeting and property transactions
- Assist with administration of Personal Injury Trusts
- Liaise with clients, families, case managers, healthcare professionals and financial advisers
- Collaborate with paralegals and litigators
- Attend client meetings and visits as appropriate
- Develop knowledge of statutory wills, care funding and benefits
Key requirements
- Qualified Solicitor status in England & Wales (0-3 years’ PQE)
- Genuine interest in Court of Protection Property and Financial Affairs work
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Strong organisational, drafting and analytical skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently and collaboratively
- Proactive, flexible and team-focused approach
