Civil CAD Designer

Overview

Vous will join a global engineering team to design municipal infrastructure with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroStation. You will work closely with project teams to deliver water, wastewater and stormwater projects, ensuring data quality and coordination across CAD/GIS staff. This role offers hands-on surveying and design work, occasional site inspection, and the chance to contribute to impactful public infrastructure. You will grow through cross-functional collaboration and on projects that shape communities.

Responsibilities

• Design municipal infrastructure using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation
• Road reconstruction, land development, stormwater management and site plan design
• Lot grading design, surveying, and inspection/certification
• Work with complex data sets alongside CAD and GIS staff
• Ensure data quality and integrity
• Prepare civil design drawings and design calculations
• Prepare quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
• Prepare documentation for design projects and reports
• Undertake quality control procedures
• Relay engineering issues to Project Manager for timely resolution
• Occasional construction site inspection

Key requirements

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology (or equivalent)
• 2+ years of civil engineering CAD/design experience
• Design experience with surface grading, watermain, sewer networks
• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Experience performing topographic surveys using GPS and total station
• Certified or eligible for CET and member of TechNova or NBSCETT
