Overview

As Senior Credit Risk Analyst for Private Market Funds at Ebury, you evaluate creditworthiness of funds and structure risk limits. You will present findings to the Credit Committee and help advance automated risk modelling while adapting processes to local markets. Your work supports prudent lending to private funds (PE, VC, Credit) and ongoing oversight of asset quality and liquidity. Responsibilities

  • Conduct credit assessments of private market funds (PE, VC, Credit) evaluating mandate, performance and asset quality
  • Analyze LPAs and private placement memorandums to understand leverage limits and derivative restrictions
  • Recommend, structure, and approve credit limits for derivatives and set margin requirements tailored to liquidity
  • Maintain continuous oversight of fund portfolios, tracking NAV movements and liquidity
  • Evaluate redemption mechanics, gate provisions, and distribution waterfalls to anticipate liquidity drains
  • Prepare submissions and present to Credit Committee with recommendations
  • Contribute to development of automated risk modelling and adapt processes to local markets

Key requirements

  • 3–5 years in fund finance or leveraged finance
  • Experience assessing GP track record and LP base quality
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
  • CFA, CAIA, or FRM designations valued
  • Strong understanding of ISDA/CSA documentation
  • Understanding of fund structures and lifecycles, capital calls, waterfalls, and valuation methodologies
  • Financial analysis of fund statements, NAV reports, and legal structures
