Engineering Supervisor

Overview

In this Engineering Supervisor role, you lead a team of automation-focused engineers within HelloFresh’s fast-growing operations. You will set and sustain high maintenance standards, drive process improvements, and mentor engineers to deliver reliable equipment and efficient production. The role sits at the intersection of safety, engineering excellence, and cost-conscious efficiency, with a strong focus on continuous improvement. You will partner across functions to deliver a safe, high-quality product to customers and help scale our operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a multi-disciplinary team of Automation, Reliability, and Junior Engineers
• Develop and implement maintenance procedures to minimise downtime and maximise equipment reliability
• Identify opportunities for process automation to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Conduct audits and safety inspections and drive corrective actions
• Coordinate with vendors for spare parts, upgrades, and technical support
• Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects
• Monitor KPIs, analyse data, and drive process optimization initiatives

Key requirements

• Strong leadership and people management experience
• Proven supervisory experience in automated manufacturing or distribution
• Knowledge of automation systems and material handling equipment
• Experience with safety regulations in warehouse or manufacturing settings
• Good data reporting and stakeholder communication skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally and influence decisions
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not provided)
• Willingness to undergo DBS checks
